Theo Ubique's Some Enchanted Evening extended through June 5

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's sell-out hit of "Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein" is now extended through June 5, and tickets are currently available for purchase. The extension has forced cancellation this season of the theatre company's next production, "The George M. Cohan Revue," originally scheduled for May 13-July 3.
"We are nearly sold out for the rest of the regular run of 'Some Enchanted Evening' and inundated with ticket requests by people who can't get in to see it. It was a difficult decision to cancel a show, but we wanted to meet the demand of our customers," said Fred Anzevino, artistic director and the show's director. "The cast loves this show and is excited about our ability to share it with more patrons."
The entire cast is remaining through the extension, including music director, pianist and singer Austin Cook along with Evan Tyrone Martin, Sara Schoch, Danni Smith, Dana Tretta and Jeremy Trager.
The extension period will run May 6-June 5 with performances at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m., Sundays. Thursday night performances are eliminated. Doors open, dinner (optional) is served and the shuttle van starts 90 minutes prior to curtain. Tickets are $25 for Fridays and Sundays and $30 for Saturdays. Dinner is an additional $20 for three courses plus beverages, tax and tip.
Representing 10 of musical theatre's classics of the 20th century by the icons of musical theatre, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, the revue features 36 songs by six singers and one pianist on his own white, baby grand piano in the intimate 60-seat setting of the No Exit Cafe in Rogers Park at 6970 N. Glenwood.
The full song list is on the Theo Ubique web site under Season/Some Enchanted Evening along with the dinner menu under Tickets/Dinner. The web site address is www.theoubique.org or www.theo-u.org
