Barrel of Monkeys presents Concert Full of Fun

Barrel of Monkeys (BOM) proudly presents the first ever Concert Full of Fun, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at noon at the Viaduct Theater, 3111 N. Western Ave. This kid-friendly concert features local musicians include Robbie Fulks, Erick Deshaun Dorris and The Bored of Education, and more.
In addition, singers from the BOM ensemble perform classic kid favorites. Also featured are popular songs from the BOM archive-all based on stories written by Chicago Public School students. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under and crawlers are free.
Barrel of Monkeys, a Chicago-based arts education theater ensemble, conducts writing workshops with students from underserved Chicago public schools and turns their stories and words into professionally-performed theater, presented both in-school and through a weekly review for the general public called "That's Weird, Grandma" (TWG). BOM performs more than 150 stories written by the students in their educational programs on the stage of TWG each year. BOM also brings 350 stories annually to students through in-school performances.
